Our Scholastic Book Fair will be
at the end of March. We will have both an online shopping option and an in-person option where each day a grade level cohort will have the opportunity to come by and peruse the bookshelves displaying the books available for purchase during their library times.

This year we are excited to announce a new
Our Read-a-thon is a program that brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and to build literacy skills. The main focus of the Read-a-thon is for everyone to know we are committed to improving reading skills. To that end, the Read-a-thon promises to be a fun, exciting journey for all participants as they begin a personal Reading Adventure that challenges each reader to complete 10 reading sessions over our 2-week event starting February 28, 2022.
They will have 2 weeks to read as much as possible in the comfort of their home and in the classroom with their classmates. It is easy and safe - get pledges from family, friends, neighbors or businesses to support their reading. Pledges are a flat donation to the student.
How do I get Pledges?

We are encouraging families to use our online fundraising system this year. However, if you prefer to collect money and turn in a check, please use this printable form, and make checks payable to FES PFA
Prizes will be given out for requesting donations, raising money and of course for READING!!!
• Every reading participant earns Read-a-thon prizes
• 1 Student who raises the most pledges will get to throw a pie in the face of the Principal!
• 1 Student who reads the most minutes will get to throw a pie in the face of the Vice Principal!
• Class participation rewards will be provided by the PFA and be based upon student participation levels and amounts raised
Why are we raising money?
Funds go directly back to Foothill Elementary and all the great programs and events at our school. With your help every child will benefit.
What is the Goal?
This year we would like to raise $25,000!!!! PFA’s goal is to increase classroom funds in all academic models this year and continue to bring family events to everyone.
If every participant can raise $50, we can achieve our goal!
